June 28, 2004
From June 14 to 18, the Rosupack 2004 international exhibition, the largest annual exhibition of its kind in Russia and the CIS, took place at Sokolniki Exhibition Center in Moscow. Our company also took part. The NOTIS stand was located in Pavilion 2. Along with traditional filling and packaging machines, the stand displayed new equipment: the MGU-NOTIS horizontal flow wrapper for piece products and the MDU-KD-NOTIS vertical VFFS machine with a multi-head weigher.
This was our second year at such a major exhibition. In 2003, our stand area was 20 m2; this year we displayed equipment on 42 m2. Many visitors noted the good stand design and the attractive appearance of the machines. All equipment was set up, supplied with products and packaging materials, and demonstrated in operation.
Strong interest in our equipment from visitors and potential customers can be explained by several factors:
- First, our equipment had already spread across the European part of Russia, Central Asia, Ukraine and Belarus. It was especially important that our filling and packaging machines were now operating in Moscow and the Moscow Region. Specialists who had worked with machines from other companies compared our equipment with competitors and clearly favored NOTIS. That matters, because there is no better advertising than the opinion of independent users.
- Second, we opened a NOTIS office in the capital with a 50 m2 showroom, equipped with sample machines, computers and office equipment. Several employees already work in the Moscow office, handling sales and service for NOTIS-branded machines. Customers can now be confident that in case of a failure, our engineer can be at the customer's production site within hours.
- Third, over the past year we made a significant step forward in developing new-generation machines: a very promising horizontal flow wrapper with independent drives and electronic control, and a combination weigher that started the development of the equally promising multi-head weigher topic.
