Package types
Pillow bag, flat-bottom bag, carry handle bag and more
Packaging machines automatically form different bag types from roll film. Corn puffs are most often packed into a pillow bag. This is the most affordable package type and can be formed even on budget VFFS machines.
Carton packaging is another option, but it requires a more expensive line with a cartoner. NOTIS has experience with such lines and successful launches in Russia, Kazakhstan and Poland.

Main Series packaging machines
NOTIS manufactures high-performance equipment for corn puff packaging. A 3-head VFFS machine can produce more than 40 packs per minute, while a piece feeder drops a toy into each package and an option applies a promotional strip.
Modern machines are easier to operate and service. On 50-100 g doses, a 3-head linear weigher reaches about 40-50 packs per minute. NOTIS uses its own electronics and software, and the dosing algorithm keeps average package weight at the nominal value.

Multi-head weigher for higher output
A multi-head weigher combines portions from several buckets to assemble the most accurate dose. For 50 g corn puff packs, it can reach about 50-60 packs per minute.
Large XL packs
Machines for large doses
400 g of corn puffs takes a lot of volume. For such packs we offer a wide-film VFFS machine: MDU-NOTIS-820.
The machine shown was manufactured for a regular customer from Kazakhstan and uses a 4-head linear weigher. For another customer, we built a 2-head version that forms a flat-bottom bag with a handle.
Budget solution
1- and 2-head machines
If high output is not required, NOTIS can offer a budget MDU-04M VFFS machine with 1- or 2-head weighing. It costs much less than the Main Series machines and usually produces about 10-20 packs per minute. The maximum film width is 440 mm and the formed package is a pillow bag.

Weigh fillers with manual packaging machines
When product is filled into ready bags or sacks, one NOTIS weigh filler may be enough. The filler weighs the dose and discharges it into a funnel. A filler combined with a manual packaging machine on one frame forms a semi-automatic filling and packaging machine.

Machines for applying powder and flavor additives
For more than 20 years we have developed coating machines for flavor additives. The machine feeds several components, such as corn puffs, powder and additives, into a large rotating drum. The product is sprayed with oil for better adhesion and mixed with other ingredients. Internationally such systems are often called OMS, On-Machine Seasoning.
The key feature of OPP-NOTIS coating machines is stable, even additive application according to the recipe, without clumps and with repeatable results throughout the working day.
