A gusseted-style bag with four reinforced sealed edges. It is formed on a vertical packaging machine.
The bag has three main seals: two horizontal seals and one vertical longitudinal seal. The vertical seal can also be hidden in one of the reinforced edges.
Film can be polypropylene, laminated film including paper-laminated film, or polyethylene depending on the machine version. Bag size and seal recommendations are available in Technical Resources, see flat-bottom bag.
Internationally this package type is often called Quattro Pack, Stabil Pack, 4 Corner Seal Pouch or Quad Pack.

These packages are formed only on specially configured VFFS machines. Required options include BFPR, a forming unit with a rectangular tube and four-edge sealing; FPD, flat-bottom former; and UPS, seam-folding device.
