NOTIS Assembly Shop — September 2026: New Packaging Machines and Lines - News

September 18, 2026

Equipment for packaging electrical products, confectionery, kozinaki, pet food, crackers, ready meals, and crispbread. We present some of the machines and lines currently undergoing assembly and final testing at the NOTIS production facility.

Assembly Shop: September 2026

The video was filmed on September 10, 2026, in the NOTIS assembly shop in Berdsk, Russia. It shows significantly more equipment than we can cover in detail in this article. Some machines appear only briefly, so we will focus on the projects we can already discuss.

This time, the shop is particularly busy with horizontal flow wrapping machines. A large pet food filling line and two systems with inclined vertical packaging machines for fragile products are being assembled nearby. And these are only some of the orders currently in production. Below are several projects featured in the September video.

1. Third Flow Wrapping Machine This Year for a Belarusian Manufacturer

Overview of a flow wrapping machine for packaging electrical sockets

A major Belarusian manufacturer of electrical products is preparing to receive its third NOTIS flow wrapping machine in 2026 alone.

The customer selected its first NOTIS machine at the end of 2023. A single machine was required to package sockets, switches, and frames of different sizes. The customer’s requirements included a servo-driven system, proven reliability, and the ability to create Euro slots by hot punching.

After commissioning the first machine, the company continued ordering equipment from NOTIS. The new machine will expand the customer’s packaging capacity.

2. Individual Wrapping of Confectionery for Belarus

Chocolate candies, pastila, nutritional bars, and halva

Automated confectionery packaging line

Another flow wrapping machine will be shipped to a different customer in Belarus. It is designed for the individual wrapping of chocolate candies, pastila bars, nutritional bars, and halva.

The company will be able to package several types of products on a single machine and change between different formats.

The current order covers the flow wrapping machine itself. The packaging section can later be fully automated by adding a system that feeds products directly from the production line.

An example of such a solution is shown in the video. A buffer system consisting of eight conveyors receives the bars, distributes them between two flow wrapping machines, and synchronizes the entire line. The system handles the products gently without deformation and packages up to 400 bars per minute.

3. Inclined Packaging Machine for Kozinaki

A repeat order from Abakan

A long-standing NOTIS customer from Abakan has ordered equipment for filling fragile kozinaki by weight.

The system includes a vertical packaging machine inclined at 30°. With this configuration, the product does not fall vertically onto the bottom of the forming bag. Instead, it meets the film at a shallow angle and gently slides down with it. This reduces impact and helps keep the fragile kozinaki intact.

The machine is similar in design to the one used in the cracker packaging line described below. However, that project uses a 45° incline for even more fragile products.

The machine forms premium Quattro bags with four sealed edges. The longitudinal seal is concealed within one of the four edges. A solution developed by NOTIS for trimming the edge of the film as the bag is formed ensures a particularly neat finish.

4. Large Pet Food Filling Line for Tula

Fill weights of 5, 10, and 30 kg, plus a separate weigh filler for portions up to 3 kg

A large pet food filling line is being assembled for a company in Tula. The main equipment is designed for fill weights of 5, 10, and 30 kg. The project also includes a separate weigh filler for portions of up to 3 kg.

To see NOTIS pet food equipment operating at a production facility, read our recent article, “When an Accurate Weigh Filler Appears to Make Mistakes: A Dry Pet Food Production Case”.

The article was prompted by an independent video tour of our customer’s production facility in Saratov. The employees spoke positively about the line, but after each filling cycle, they weighed every bag separately and manually topped it up to exactly 2,000 grams.

The NOTIS service team contacted the company proactively. It turned out that the linear weigh filler, designed for a range of 3–30 kg, was being used for 2 kg portions, while manual topping-up was an unnecessary step. The customer was already satisfied with the equipment, and our consultation helped simplify the filling process. The article also shows the line operating in a real production environment.

5. Packaging Line for Particularly Fragile Crackers and Snacks

The customer from Ufa compared solutions from several manufacturers

A similar project for another customer

A weighing and packaging line with a multihead weigher will be shipped to Ufa. It will package cookies, crackers, and bread snacks.

The products are extremely fragile, so the customer carefully evaluated how different solutions would affect breakage and the amount of crumbs. The company considered equipment from several manufacturers and ultimately selected the NOTIS line.

For gentler product handling, the vertical packaging machine is installed at a 45° angle. The multihead weigher forms each portion, while the inclined configuration reduces impact as the product moves into the bag.

6. Flow Wrapping Machine for Airport Meals

The next horizontal flow wrapping machine will package ready meals at one of Russia’s airports. NOTIS has completed similar projects before, as shown in the video above.

Freshly sliced products are arranged in plastic trays and then wrapped in polypropylene film.

7. Equipment for Packaging Crispbread

The customer has used NOTIS machines since 2013

Another project featured in the video is being built for a major crispbread manufacturer. The company has been choosing NOTIS equipment since 2013 and has once again contacted us while expanding its packaging operations.

Our customers package crispbread in a wide range of formats and product arrangements. Learn more about NOTIS solutions for this product on our crispbread packaging equipment page.
